The Plate-Loaded Hunter brings lat-pulldowns and seated rows to home gym owners at a competitive price and quality that becomes self-evident as soon as you sit down on its two-inch-thick upholstery. This seat and the adjustable leg roll above it are made of high-density Polyurethane foam and covered by a thick layer of tear-resistant synth leather. It’s built to last, though perhaps not as long as the seat on the platform’s second station.

To perform cable rows on the Hunter, sit on the ground and place your feet on the 14-inch steel footplate that can be flipped up and down (so you have something to push against), grab the straight bar that comes with the machine, and pull.

The Hunter is small compared to most lat-pulldown machines, but don’t let its slight 87-inch frame fool you. The plate-loaded mechanism can hold three 45-pound plates on both sides for an upward load limit of 300 pounds, 20 more than most selectorized lat-pull-down machines.
